Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. I cannot help to see the similarities between the sudden rise in pickleball to the sudden rise of golf in 2020.
In 2020, golf rose to a new level among young people. For a long time, golf was looked at as an old man sport. But in 2020, it was the only sport we were allowed to safely play. Everyone, young and old, took the course and began playing golf. We saw the rise in golf streetwear, beginning with Malbon and Bogey Boys. Golf streetwear opened the door to golf for so many people, because they were finally seeing people like them playing golf.
Now in 2023, Pickleball has taken the world of sports by storm. From professional athletes buying teams, to your college friends making their own league at their college. Pickleball is taking over. In my opinion, pickleball is more accessible than golf, because of the time it takes to pick up the sport. People can become "good" after 2 games. Trust me, I got some friends that were hot garbage at pickleball when they first began but now they are decent... most of them.
I cannot help but see the need for a company to take the world of pickleball over by storm in the streetwear market. That is where Misfits comes in. We are dedicated to helping everyone feel like they can play pickleball and also be the most dripped out person on the court.
